Get a technician to the door, or ask a question first
Dial (737) 265-6723 any hour of any day, or send the form below and we call you. A door that won't open or won't close is seen the same day; everything else is usually the next day or sooner.
Two ways in
Call: (737) 265-6723. The line is picked up at any hour, every day of the year. You'll be asked what the door is doing, your address and the best number to reach you, and a technician calls back to set a window.
Write: hello@austingaragedoortech.com, or the form on this page. Same questions, answered at your pace.
Technicians on the road: seven days a week across Travis, Williamson and Hays counties, and east into Bastrop County.
When to call and when the form is fine
Call now
A car is boxed in. The door is stuck open and the house can't be locked. The spring let go with a bang. A storm line is an hour out and the door is halfway down. Say it in the first sentence and the next available technician is yours.
Call today
The door won't open or won't close but nothing is trapped. The opener runs but the door stays put. One side hangs lower than the other. Same-day visit in almost every case.
The form is fine
The door is loud, slow, or shaking. You want a price on a new door or opener. A panel is dented and the door still works. A tune-up before summer. You'll hear back within the day and get a window that suits you.
What helps, if you have it
Nothing is required. If you want the callback to go faster: what the door is doing in your own words, single or double door, the opener brand and roughly how old it is, a photo of the door from inside the garage with the spring shaft visible, and whether the house is inside Austin city limits or in Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Pflugerville, Leander, Dripping Springs or Bastrop. Gate codes and the name of the neighbourhood help the technician find you the first time.
If a car is trapped
Leave the door where it is. Don't pull the red release cord if the door is up, because a door with a broken spring is dead weight and will come down fast. Don't try to lift it by hand, and keep people and pets out from under it. Tell us on the call that there's a car inside and whether you need it for work in the morning; that moves you to the front of the day.
Not sure if it's an emergency? Call anyway. The person who picks up will tell you plainly whether it can wait for a daytime slot or needs someone tonight.
